Every year, Creativity Unlimited in New Jersey sponsors four tournaments under for “New Jersey Odyssey of the Mind”. We feature three regional tournaments, traditionally held in March.
The Gateway region is Union County and northern Middlesex County, the Skyland region is southern Middlesex, Hunterdon and Somerset counties and all counties north and the Coastal Plains Region is Mercer and Monmouth Counties and all counties south. The top two places in each problem and division then advance to State Finals, traditionally held in April. Following that, the top two places from each problem and division advance to the Odyssey of the Mind World Finals.
In addition, each level of tournament features two special awards – OMER’s Sportsmanship Awards and the Ranatra Fusca Creativity Award.
